Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Tragic Road Accident

Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua has been released from care, local government spokespeople stated on late Wednesday. The fighter was involved in a car accident in the Lagos area on Monday, a horrific crash that claimed the lives of two of his close associates.

Under Observation for Minor Injuries

Joshua had been under observation while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his management team had said on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on X that Joshua was judged healthy enough to leave and heal privately.

“Anthony and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two departed friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the official remarked.

Remembering the Victims

Those who lost their lives were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. It was also noted that the champion was filled with sorrow and deeply emotional over the passing of his two dear friends.”

His release from the hospital follows the global fight fans offered condolences for the star in the wake of the devastating accident.
